About Listing

The CARIS Bereavement Service helps children, young people and adults in Islington who are experiencing bereavement. We will help anyone in Islington who has been bereaved, regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, race, or sexuality, or whether the bereavement was recent or a long time ago. Our service is free and confidential. Counselling can take place in our premises in Tollington Park, or at the client’s home. Our counselling service for young people aged 12 to 20 is called The Basement. If you are aged 12 to 20 and struggling with loss, please contact us, or ask someone to call and make an appointment for you. Our children’s service is called Rucksack, and offers bereavement support to children aged 3 to 11. We can also help if your child is older than 11, please contact us for more information. Trained visitors visit the child at home or at school, usually once a week, for as many visits as necessary. We also have a play therapy room at our premises near Finsbury Park, and children are able to attend counselling there. The service is free and offered to any bereaved child in Islington regardless of disability, gender, race or religion.
