CDH UK is a charity made up of experts providing complimentary care to patients and their families in the form of information, emotional and practical support and by conducting, encouraging and funding research.
They offer counselling to parents who have lost their baby due to CDH. They have volunteers who have undertaken a Bereavement course and who understand the processes and requirements of parents during their grieving. If this is still not helping or there are any concerns about your welfare, they can put you in touch with a professional counsellor or provide advice on who you should contact with regards to receiving NHS counselling.
They can also help if you have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is not uncommon following a CDH diagnosis, or a stressful event associated with ongoing challenges.
Their Counselling 4 CDH Scheme can help you find access to a local professional counselling service either over the telephone, face to face or virtually.
