Freddie’s Wish aims to educate healthcare professionals and wider society in the importance of offering proactive support to bereaved parents to help them through the darkest of times. We will also signpost bereaved relatives towards support that may be relevant to their specific circumstances or provide support to the family directly. We are partnered with MDD First Aid to help fund first aid courses for parents/carers to give them the knowledge and skills to potentially save their child’s life.
Freddie’s Wish is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 1168483) with clear aims and objectives, these are as follows:
- Preservation and protection of good health among parents and families experiencing child bereavement.
- To advance the saving of lives by educating the public about paediatric first aid and in turn enabling parents with the skills to potentially save their child’s life.
- To advance the education of Healthcare professionals in relation to child bereavement and to offer support to families within Warwickshire.
Freddie’s Wish discriminates against no one; no loss of a child is worse than any other. We are here to support anyone who has been given these horrible shoes to walk in and hopefully help them to find a new lease of life, embracing the memory of their precious lost child!
