Noah’s Ark is a children’s hospice service supporting life-limited or life threatened children living in the above London Boroughs. Families can refer themselves or ask a professional to contact us. Once accepted, a Link Worker will arrange to visit the family to see which of our services can be offered. Services include: free family days and special events held at weekends and in school holidays; six parents’ groups a year, where parents can get together to share ideas and support each other in facilitated groups and over a sandwich lunch; separate monthly siblings groups for children and young people, where days out and fun activities are organised by our Siblings Worker. We also have Family Support Volunteers trained to help with things like shopping, gardening or driving to appointments. It is sometimes possible to offer a few hours a week of help from one of our small team of Family Carers who will be trained in the needs of a child to allow the parents to have a break, where the child has a high level of care. We have a Play Specialist who only works with children from Barnet as present, but we hope to extend this service.
