About Listing
Our bereavement support service supports people living in Herts and Bucks who are coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. Our adult support is open to any adult, whether or not their loved one has been in our care, while our support for children is reserved for the families of our current and former patients.
Everyone grieves differently, so we offer a wide range of bereavement support options; from anonymous online chats to community events.
Calling our Rennie Grove Peace bereavement support line is a great first step in seeking support. You can tell us what’s going on and we can talk through some options for getting support.
Please note this isn’t a 24 hour line, but if you leave a message we will aim to respond by the next working day.

Chat online with trained bereavement counsellors
If you prefer the privacy of anonymous online help, you can access live chat support from trained bereavement counsellors via our GriefChat partnership. The service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm and can be accessed through the GriefChat chat box which appears on this page.
One-to-one listening and counselling
Available via Zoom, phone or in person, we offer one-to-one bereavement support with a trained listener or qualified counsellor.
Group bereavement support
Our 8-week bereavement support course is a structured programme that connects you with other bereaved people. Each session is hosted by a Rennie Grove Peace counsellor and a listening volunteer and offers a calm, supportive environment. We’ll cover specific areas of wellbeing post-bereavement such as nutrition, sleep and mindfulness. To find out when our next group bereavement support programme begins, please click here.
