RoadPeace provides emotional and practical support to those bereaved or injured in a road crash. Anyone experiencing the aftermath of a road crash will know that the emotional and practical go hand in hand. Clarification and guidance through legal processes can be emotionally sustaining. Talking to a befriender who has survived a similar loss can provide ideas for day to day coping strategies and glimpses of hope which can be practical in the extreme. Our Resilience Building Programme is group support for those that have lost their loved one to a road crash, led by two specialised trauma facilitators. The weekly, evening sessions last for two hours and happen over six weeks; there is a subsequent follow-up session. During the session’s traumatic symptoms such as, nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks, sleeplessness and anxiety will be dealt with. Resilience will be built through the pacing of the programme and support of the facilitators and fellow group members throughout the six sessions. Please ring or email for more information.
