St Gemma’s Hospice provides bereavement support to children and young people in Leeds aged 5 to 18 yrs, if they are bereaved by someone having a terminal illness, and if that person has been supported by either St Gemma’s Hospice, Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley, or by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.  They offer telephone, one to one and group support.  They also offer support before the person has died.  They are unable to offer bereavement support if the death was by another cause, such as accidents, suicide or other sudden death.
