Children’s Bereavement Service offers a child/young person centred approach, offering pre and post bereavement support tailored to their needs. This usually takes the form of 1:1 support either at home, within their School or in the Hospice in person or through video calling or telephone, where preferred. This support is available to both the young person and their family, if appropriate.
Support is primarily for the families of those known to Strathcarron Hospice, however some cases we are able to take outside referrals. Referrals can be made via Hospice staff or by family members/other professionals directly to the Patient and Family Support Team.
