The Acorn Centre is a charity that offers counselling and support for men and women involved in pregnancy-related concerns – from infertility issues to coping with an unexpected pregnancy. We also offer a comprehensive counselling service for bereavement following pregnancy and give support to those coping with postnatal depression.
We operate throughout Warwickshire and our Centre is based in Nuneaton.
At the Acorn Centre they provide a confidential, calm and supportive environment where they can help you to talk about how you are feeling. You will be able to discuss your baby loss with a trained counsellor and explain what it means to you and your family.
The service is provided by volunteers who have all attained or are near completion of their Level 4 Diplomas in Therapeutic Counselling and receive regular ongoing support and supervision.
Each session costs £20.00, which reflects the basic costs of providing our service but assistance with the fee may be available for those who need it (see website for more details). The £20.00 fee includes room hire, supervision for the counsellor, insurance and basic administration costs.
