The Alder Centre offers free counselling and support to adults and children affected by the loss of a child of any age. Provided on a one-to-one basis, as a couple or within a group, with therapeutic support for younger children. Also offers a befriending service with a bereaved parent volunteer. Annual therapeutic breaks are also run which provide the opportunity for bereaved families and individuals to meet each other.
The Volunteer Child Death Helpline runs in conjunction with Great Ormond St Hospital for all those affected by the death of a child of any age. Is open everyday. Mon -Fri 10am to 1pm, Tues & Weds 1pm to 4pm, every evening 7pm to 10pm. Freephone 0800 282 986 (landlines) & 0808 800 6019 (mobiles).
