The Alder Centre offers free counselling and support to adults and children affected by the loss of a child of any age. Provided on a one-to-one basis, as a couple or within a group, with therapeutic support for younger children. Our Bereavement Care Team provides 24 hour availability every day of the year. We guarantee to be on site and ready to support families and colleagues within an hour of being notified of a child’s death. From July 2021, the Bereavement Care Team became known as The Snowdrop Team.
Therapeutic Breaks run annually and provide a special opportunity for families, individual parents, adults and children to meet with others who are also bereaved.
The Volunteer Child Death Helpline runs in conjunction with Great Ormond St Hospital for all those affected by the death of a child of any age. Monday to Sunday 19:00 to 22:00/ Monday to Friday 10:00 to 13:00 / Tuesday and Wednesday 13:00 to 16:00 Freephone 0808 800 6019
