The Yo-Yo Project is a Farleigh Hospice service which supports children and young people who are facing a loss or have been bereaved. They welcome referrals for children and young people from the age of 4 to 18. Referrals are accepted from 6 weeks after the death occurs. Professionals and parents can refer with the consent of the child/young person by completing one of the forms below or young people can refer themselves.
Offering a range of support options including: 1 to 1 support, Counselling/art therapy, Group work (a 5 week course for 7 -11 year olds), Outdoor activity days, Art gallery, Family meal and Memorial service
Also offer workshops for parents and carers to understand the impact of loss and bereavement and how to support their child/young person
The Yo-yo project are a community service that covers the whole of the mid-Essex area. The service also offers information, guidance and support to anyone who is working with children/young people in this situation. All referrals to the service will be assessed and allocated as appropriate.
